Neve Crochet Snowflake Ornament [Free Crochet Pattern + Video]

Let’s make the fourth crochet snowflake from this year’s collection, shall we? This one is a little bit smaller than the others, has a floral center, and lots of picots. It’s a fun challenge for beginners – even though the stitches are basic, their combination requires some focus.

This year’s collection of ornaments has wintery names, fitting perfectly into the season of cold, white snow and festivities.

• yarn: 100% cotton thread – I used an unpopular Polish one, but something like Scheepjes Maxi Sugar Rush should be okay, too! 
• crochet hook 1.5 mm
• scissors

Measurements

• 8,5 cm (3,35″)

Remember that your yarn weight of choice, hook size, and crocheting style can affect the final size of the ornament. Blocking and stiffening are crucial to make it look good.

12 sc into the loop, sl st.

ROUND 2

*8 ch, skip 1, sl st* x 6

ROUND 3

3 sl st in the chain stitches, *2 ch, 1 dc, 1 tr, 6 ch, 1 tr, 2 dc* all in one ch-sp, *2 dc, 1 tr, 6 ch, 1 tr, 2 dc* all in one ch-sp x 5, sl st

ROUND 4

2 sl st, 1 sl st in the ch-sp, 2 ch, 3 dc, 5 ch, 4 dc, *7 ch, 4 dc, 5 ch, 4 dc* all in one ch-sp x 5, sl st

ROUND 5

Fasten off, secure the yarn, and don’t forget to block and stiffen your snowflakes.
