This week I’ve had a chance to design an applique using Hobbii Friends 8/4 cotton yarn.
Hobbii kindly sponsored the yarn, and I’ve had the pleasure to make two crochet appliques with it.
Hot Air Balloon Applique
The shape was perfect to showcase the colors and the smooth finish of the yarn.
I used Friends Cotton 8/4 yarn in colors Cream (04), Open Sea (79), Pink Berry Smoothie (54), and Pistachio (108).

Flower Applique
I’ve had a lot of fun making the petals and combining them together to make a flower.
