I crochet long ago but have not in over 30 years . I bought a beginners book, hook and thread and started
all over again. Please I need to start from the beginning as I am having trouble with being too tight and not able to turn to go back and the sides even.
Help, perhaps I can learn from you.
Thanks, Patsy
Hey Patsy, I’m working on some tutorials that might help you. Stay tuned!
Could you please give me some basic instructions for a project for beginners?
Hi Patsy! I’m currently working on some tutorials for total beginners 🙂 Stay tuned! If you want to try something easy, take a look at my free patterns section at the top – Lake Sunset Shawl or Sleepy Bunny Lovey should be easy enough for you to try 🙂
I always make the original chain with a hook one size larger than the project is calling for, then go to that smaller hook size and it will be so much easier to make the first row of chains. Don’t ever pull the yarn really tight, just relax and wind it a little bit loosely around the hook. The size of the stitch is determined by the size of the handle, not the hook itself.
Hope this helps
